Itinerary: Full Day in Ausangate – Pacchanta – Lagunas – Cusco

Departure from Cusco: Our adventure begins early, at 4 am, with pickup at your hotel in Cusco. We will begin a journey of approximately 3 hours towards Pacchanta, located at 4200 meters above sea level, passing through the charming village of Tinke.

Breakfast and Preparation: Upon arrival at Pacchanta, our trekking chef will greet you with a comforting hot breakfast. Strict safety protocols will be followed to ensure your well-being throughout the trek.

Hike to the Lagoons: After breakfast and a short rest, we will begin our hike to the impressive lagoons of the Ausangate region. This trek of approximately 5 hours will take us along trails where we will admire lagoons such as Azulcocha, Otorongo, Pucacocha, Alqacocha and Q’omercocha.

Landscapes and Nature: During the hike, you will enjoy spectacular views of the imposing snow-capped peaks that surround the area, including the majestic Ausangate (6834 m), Mariposa (5842 m), Jampa (5500 m), Pucapunta (5740 m), Caracol (5625 m), Tinke (5300 m) and the Qayangate mountain range.

Weather Tips: Since we are in the Andean region, the weather can vary considerably. Be prepared with a hat or cap and appropriate sunscreen to protect yourself from sudden changes in temperature and the intensity of the sun.

Flora and Fauna: Along the way, you will have the opportunity to observe the rich local flora and fauna, including various birds, vicuñas and llamas.

Lunch and Hot Springs: Upon returning to the starting point, a hot lunch prepared by our trekking chef awaits you. Afterwards, you can relax your muscles in the natural hot springs of Pacchanta, a revitalizing experience after the hike.

Return to Cusco: After enjoying this well-deserved rest and satisfying meal, we will begin the return to Cusco in our private transport, arriving at your hotel so you can rest and reflect on this memorable experience.
